Capoeira e Religiosidade – Espiritualidade

Capoeira e Religiosidade – Espiritualidade

For those who move within the world of capoeira, religion and spirituality always seem to be present; for some more people, for some less. But within the history of capoeira and within the practice of capoeira, there are traces – elements – of them. Traits that arouse curiosity and lead to reflection on the subject.

What are the connections between capoeira and the various religions that form part of the culture from which it comes? Does capoeira bring with it a certain religiosity, or do we speak of spirituality? And what does this have to do with the dissemination of this Brazilian art worldwide? Some issues that this book addresses, thus contributing to a struggle that goes beyond art.
